Despοina Papadopoulou shares her experience from participating in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme

Despοina Papadopoulou took part in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme, travelling to Cyprus for three months and choosing OECON GROUP as her intermediary organisation.

Despοina was hosted by Nikolaos Iordanou at Magnetar Ltd, where she was introduced to the fields of consultancy and European projects.

Reflecting on her experience, she says:

”Three months, a lot of learning and an experience I’ll always be grateful for.

From July to October 2026, I had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme and spend three months in Limassol, Cyprus hosted by Magnetar ltd.

When I started this experience, I knew I would learn a lot, but I didn’t expect how much I would take from it both professionally and personally.

During my time at Magnetar ltd, I wasn’t just observing how things work. I had the chance to be actively involved in the company’s activities, contribute to different tasks and ongoing projects and also explore new ideas and ways of adding value to the work being done. Being able to take what I was learning and turn it into something practical was one of the most rewarding parts of the experience for me.

I learned a lot from my host and from being part of a different working environment. I had the chance to discover new ways of thinking, working, communicating and approaching challenges, while also having the freedom to bring some of my own ideas to the table.

A huge thank you to Magnetar ltd and my host for welcoming me, trusting me, sharing their knowledge and giving me the space to learn, contribute and grow throughout these three months.

I’d also like to thank the programme’s intermediary organisation OECON for their support and guidance throughout the whole process and for helping make this experience possible.

I’m leaving Cyprus with new skills, practical experience, new ideas, valuable connections and many memories that I will carry with me into whatever comes next. Looking back, I’m really glad I said yes to this opportunity.

And as Vincent van Gogh said “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together”

I’m taking that feeling with me into the next chapter”.
