OBJECTIVE
The CLIMB project aims to empower women in rural and mountainous areas by strengthening their entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and digital competences, while reducing the barriers to starting a business. In particular, the project will develop targeted training material, research on good practices, and a digital learning hub, enhancing networking, mentoring, and participation in policy-making. By reinforcing local and European support systems, CLIMB will contribute to gender-inclusive rural development and economic sustainability.
More specifically, the objectives of the project are to:
-
Identify the main areas in which women face inequalities related to entrepreneurship.
-
Identify the key gaps and barriers women experience when they wish to create their own business in rural or mountainous areas.
-
Develop training material for women who want to start their own business in rural or mountainous areas.
-
Create a networking platform where all women from the project case-study regions can connect and collaborate.
-
Implement a wide range of dissemination activities to ensure that all project results are broadly promoted.
-
Address the depopulation trend in rural and mountainous regions, with a particular focus on women who wish to remain or relocate there by supporting them to create their own business.
