The main objectives of CLIMB project

The CLIMB project aims to empower women living in rural and mountainous areas by strengthening their entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and digital competences, while reducing barriers to business creation.

Specifically, CLIMB aims to:

  • Identify the key areas where women face inequalities in entrepreneurship.
  • Map the main gaps and obstacles women encounter when aiming to start their own businesses in rural and mountainous regions.
  • Develop targeted educational and training material for women who wish to launch their own enterprises.
  • Create a networking platform where women from the case study areas can connect, collaborate, and share experiences.
  • Implement a range of dissemination activities to ensure wide visibility and impact of the project’s results.
  • Address population decline in rural and mountainous areas by supporting women who wish to stay, return, or relocate and establish their own businesses.

Through its participation in the European CLIMB project, OECON GROUP contributes to more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive rural development, with women at the center.
