Promoting Inclusion & Equality in Vocational Education & Training
🎯 Despite ongoing efforts towards equality in education, many young people from vulnerable backgrounds still face serious challenges in accessing apprenticeships.
The main barriers include:
🔹 Limited accessibility to appropriate programmes
🔸 Stereotypes and prejudices that reinforce exclusion
🔹 Lack of adequate guidance and support
🔸 Educational programmes that do not meet individual needs
🔹 Unprepared or unresponsive working environments
The European project Inclusive Apprenticeships comes to offer concrete solutions, aiming at shaping a more inclusive and functional VET framework:
✅ Development of training tools that ensure flexibility and accessibility✅ Training of mentors to provide effective support to apprentices with fewer opportunities
✅ Designing training programmes that respect and respond to diversity
✅ Promoting a culture of inclusion in organisations and workplaces
✅ Informing and raising awareness of employers about the benefits of inclusion
