Tourism is a cornerstone of the Greek economy, contributing 12.7% of GDP (\u20ac30.2 billion, 2024).<\/p>\n

The GreenHost<\/strong> <\/a>project analysis highlights key structural challenges in the sector:<\/p>\n

– Limited digital transformation of SMEs, with low adoption of AI, data analytics, and smart tourism platforms
\n– Insufficient green and sustainability skills, despite growing consumer demand
\n– Underdeveloped soft skills and social innovation within vocational education
\n– Low sector attractiveness due to low wages, seasonality, and high turnover, resulting in 53,000 job vacancies in 2023<\/p>\n

As a partner of the GreenHost project, OECON GROUP<\/strong> supports skills development, innovation, and the green transition of tourism and hospitality in Greece.<\/p>\n
